The rate analysis of ceramic tile flooring is almost similar to vitrified tile flooring, only few differences are there like price of ceramic tile and quantity of white cement.

Consider 10 sqmt of flooring area
Ceramic tile required for 10 sqmt area = 10 sqmt
Wastage & breakage @ 5% = 10 × 5% = 0.5 sqmt
Ceramic tiles including wastage for 10 sqmt area = 10 + 0.5 = 10.5 sqmt
Rate of ceramic tile = Rs.45/sqft
Total cost of ceramic tiles = 10.5 × 4.5 × 10.764 = Rs.5086
Cost of white cement
Filled in joints in between the tiles
Quantity of white cement depends on size of tiles
If tile size is less than quantity of white cement required shall be more & vice versa.
White cement required for ceramic tiles flooring @ Rs.25/sqmt
Cost of white cement = 10 × 25 = Rs.250
Cement sand bedding of 20mm thickness in CM 1:4
Volume of mortar = 10 × 0.02 = 0.2 Cum
Add 40% for dry to wet volume = 0.2 × 40% = 0.08 Cum
Total volume of mortar = 0.2 + 0.08 = 0.28 Cum
No.of cement bags = 0.28/(1+4) = 0.06 Cum = 0.06/0.035 = 1.6 bags
Volume of 1 bag of cement is 0.035 Cum
Rate of cement bag Rs.280/-
Amount of cement = 1.6 × 280 = Rs.448
Calculate sand in cum = (0.28/ (1+4) × 4 = 0.22 Cum
Rate of crushed sand = Rs.3000/brass = 3000/2.83 = Rs.
Amount of sand required = 0.22 × 1060 = Rs.237
Cement slurry @ 3.3kg/sqmt
Cost of cement for 1kg = 280/50 = Rs.5.6
Amount of cement slurry = 10 × 5.6 × 3.3 = Rs.185
Total material cost = 5086 + 250 + 448 + 237 + 185 = Rs.6206
Add transportation cost, tools, tackles & consumable @ 5% = 6206 × 5% = Rs.310
Add 1% for safety = 6206 × 1% = Rs.62
Subtotal = 6206 + 310 + 62 = Rs.6579
As per current market the labour rate for ceramic tile flooring is Rs.20/sqft
Labour cost = 10 × 20 × 10.764 = Rs.2153
Subtotal = 6579 + 2153 = Rs.8731
Add 15% for OH & Profit = 8731 × 15% = Rs.1310
Amount for 10 sqmt of ceramic tile flooring = 8731 + 1310 + Rs.10041
Rate per Sqmt for ceramic tile flooring = 10041/10 = Rs.1004
Per sqft rate for ceramic tile flooring = 1004/10.764=Rs.93
