Top 5 Tricks On How To Hang Pictures On The Wall
Need to hang a few pictures? Follow these picture hanging tips to decorate the walls in your home.
1.Toothpaste
This trick works well. If you are hanging a picture or a frame with two hooks or those d-rings that are really hard to find the right spot on the wall, what you do is take the back of the frame and put a little bit of toothpaste on the hooks or the rings wherever your frame is going to hang, then you hold it up on the wall, make sure it's nice and level and it's where you want it to be and then you're going to press it up against the wall. When you remove the frame or the picture, it's going to leave a dot of toothpaste wherever the nail needs to go pop in your nail and then they will be in the right place.

2.Painters Taped
This works well for the same thing that the toothpaste does. If you have two places that you need to put nails, what you're gonna do is take your frame and grab a long piece of painters tape, you can also use masking tape for this if you don't have painters tap. You're going to place it on the back of the frame and make sure that it goes over wherever your nail needs to go. Then you're gonna take your nail and make a prick in the tape where the nail will go take off the tape, place it on the wall wherever you want to hang your picture. You can use a level to make the tape level or you can just eyeball it. Then grab your nails and you are going to hammer them into the wall where the holes in the tape are peel off the tape and then hang your picture.
3.Removable Adhesive Strips
This is good for apartments temporary or seasonal decor. If you don't want to put holes in the wall or you just want to try out some decor in different places in your home and you're not sure where you want to put it, the command strips or hooks are great for this, they make small ones for small pieces that aren't very heavy all the way up to larger ones with bigger hooks that will hold on the wall a little more steady. Make sure you know about the weight for whatever you're going to hang because you need to find the right size to keep it on the wall.

4.Use A Nail & Ruler
A lot of pictures and frames have a wire that you use in order to hang the frame or the picture on the wall and it can be hard to figure out the right place that needs to go, because you need to be able to stretch the wire and find where the nail needs to go on your wall. A nice hack for this is to take a wooden ruler and put a nail in it, hang the picture from the wire on the nail, put it up against your wall by holding the ruler. When you take off the picture you will know where the nail needs to go in your wall based on where the nail and the ruler is.
5.Use A Mounting Adhesive
When you make a gallery wall or have a lot of small pieces on your wall, they can shift and move around easily causing them to not be level and look a little off. So you take the mounting adhesive, it's like a sticky putty adhesive, take some small little pieces, put them on the back of the frames or the pictures and then it will stick it to the wall and to help it not move. That way you don't have off level pictures.
